Six seats, at the foot of the vault.

At the bottom of the stairs, a room panelled in oak from floor to ceiling. A band of windows at pavement level lets in the street and the light, and a single linear pendant runs the length of the table.

Six seats around one surface, chairs that hold up all day, a lamp and a socket within reach. This is the floor nobody walks through: you come here for the quiet, and at the back the stone arch opens onto the cellar — the meeting room is ten metres away.

This is the floor you choose when you want room and silence. You work alone or together, you sit on the sofa to read something over, and the glass staircase leaves the noise of the house downstairs.
